Last Friday I made a plea for Gilbert. I asked everyone to say a prayer for him and his knee, and said that I believed things would start looking up in a week, if we did that. Well, God does hear and answer our prayers! The Wizards played the Pacers and won, thanks in large part to Gilbert! Here’s his stat line for the game:
30 points, 6 rebounds, 11 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, 50% shooting and 9 of 11 from the line in 36 minutes
THAT’S THE GILBERT I DRAFTED IN THE FIRST ROUND!!!! I’m sure there will be a let down in his next game, as he is obviously still getting healthy, but it’s just great to see him do it for a game!
Gilbert we will continue to pray for you and simply ask that you give us more nights like this!!!
